Other comments:
We have been watching them build this RV park for a few years and it is now open. It is very nice. It is flat ground and all concrete pads. 20/30/50 amp elec. water sewer cable TV at each site. They have120 sites open now, the pool and one mile bike or walking trail is paved and finished. The Pond is open too. The website is not completed (www.followtheriverrvresort.com). In the center is a huge building and it is new. The place to eat is similar to B5 only new. Bathrooms are there and showers and a small store. All in the center building and it has ramps up to it on each side. Cell phones are working too. The wifi is not in yet but they hope to have it in by next season.
Follow The River RV Resort is 2 miles from Balterra casino and a bus will come
and get you if you want. Plenty of old towns and antiques are in the area. Clifty Falls state
park is near with some of the most rugged trails in Indiana and is so pretty
just to drive through. Madison, IN is 20 miles down the river. Florence, Ky is your main big
town. Its all along the Ohio River and it is a nice drive yet still close to
Louisville(camping World) and Cincinnati, Ohio. See the links above for Vevay, IN and Madison, IN places of interest.
Madison is 20 miles from the RV Resort via the Ohio River Scenic Byway (see map
below).
They are to get back to us as they did not see a problem as they are close to
Kentucky Speedway and their racing season won't start that early in May. The
owner was on vacation but it looks to be in the $39-$45 including tax range and maybe a bigger discount. They can book the reservations for us.
They have a lot of wine tasting places. The more I look the more it amazes me. We
go down to the casino and it is a full one with hotel and all and up the road
toward Rising Sun are more casinos if you're into that.
To answer your questions, I talked to Ken and he said as far as the units being self contained, they are supposed to be but he won’t be going around looking inside of them. Especially if there will only be a couple. Maybe we can get those people closer to the building.
Feedback from the campground regarding
dining opportunities at the casino and surrounding area:
I left a message for the sales people at Belterra and I’m
sure they will get back with me the first of the week. I won’t be here on Monday
but maybe Tuesday I can have an answer for you about Belterra. I’ve also left a
message for the Ogle Haus Inn in Vevay about meals. Hopefully he will get back
with me soon also.
